Halloween Magazine Cover
Project type
Photography, Lightroom & Photoshop
Created a Halloween-inspired magazine cover as part of a photography and photo-editing project. I drew inspiration from the dramatic, seasonal style of *Better Homes & Gardens* Halloween magazine covers and developed my own photoshoot using personal Halloween décor, including skulls, ravens, spell books, potions, magic spheres, and a bubbling cauldron.
I planned and photographed a collection of images focused on creating a dark, mysterious, and atmospheric scene. After selecting my strongest photograph, I used Adobe Lightroom to enhance the depth of the shadows, strengthen the colors, and create a more dramatic mood. I then used Adobe Photoshop to expand the background and prepare the image for the magazine-cover layout.
For the final cover, I incorporated text inspired by the *Better Homes & Gardens* Halloween magazine cover that influenced my original concept. This helped bring the photography and editorial elements together while giving the finished piece the look and feel of a seasonal magazine feature.
This project allowed me to combine photography, photo editing, composition, and editorial design to create a cohesive Halloween-themed magazine concept.
